ARP-497 is culture of HSB-2 cells, a human T cell lymphoblastoid line derived from the peripheral blood buffy coat of a patient with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and propagated as tumors in newborn syrian hamsters.
Growth Characteristics: Cells grow in suspension with a lymphoblast-like morphology. Thaw the cells rapidly in a 37°C water bath, inverting the vial periodically. Transfer the thawed cells into a T-25 flask in 10 mL of growth medium. To dilute out the DMSO, stand the flask upright and incubate overnight. The next day, carefully aspirate off most of the medium and replace it with fresh culture medium. Once the cells are established in culture, maintain them at 1 × 106 to 2 × 106 cells per mL and split 1:2 to 1:3 with fresh medium every 2 days.
Growth Medium: RPMI 1640 medium supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum
ARP-497 is negative for bacteria, Mycoplasma, yeast and mold.
Each vial of ARP-497 contains approximately 1.3 × 107 cells in growth medium supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum and 10% dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). Please refer to the attached file(s) for additional information.
